A family finds themselves strangely transformed and must find their way home through an enchanted forest.

Adventures in the Time of COVID

A woman recalls a fateful road trip taken thirty years earlier with her first love.

april eighty-nine

A look into the lives of a couple whose child has gone missing. After living with the disappearance of their only child for months, they have no choice but to move on with life. But when ladybugs appear, Kelly believes it's a sign her daughter is still alive. Her husband isn't so quick to believe. One clings to the last bit of hope she has, the other is at his wit's end. Both hoping for a miracle the next time the phone rings.

Dark Hearts

This is a comedy drama of a young woman who has just got married to her long term boyfriend and now has doubts. She acknowledges she has been repressing her sexual attraction for women for some time, but that these feelings are genuine. Especially relevant at this moment, after kissing the groom’s sister, Olivia, an out and confident lesbian, at the hen party the night before.
When Francis, Eve’s husband, finally finds her, sitting alone in contemplation, he is anxious and confronts her over her disappearance, believing she has cheated on him. Eve quickly refutes this, confiding that she believes she is now lesbian. Francis is incredulous at this idea, assuring her that attraction to both genders is common, but does not detract from their love which is genuine. Eve seems swayed and the newlyweds return to their family and friends.
Just as the group pose for the official wedding photo, Francis looks over at Eve, noticing her anxiety and questions her. Eve leaves in tears, determined, yet vulnerable, as heated exchanges erupt between the mothers, a distraught husband goes into meltdown and the wedding party absorb the shock of Eve’s departure.

Eve

Filmed on 5 continents and in 12 countries, FOLLOWING THE NINTH is the story of four people whose lives have been transformed and repaired by Beethoven’s message in his Ninth Symphony: Alle Menschen werden Bruder (All Men Will Be Brothers). At Tiananmen Square in 1989, students played the Ninth over loudspeakers as the army came in to crush their struggle for freedom. In Chile, women living under the Pinochet dictatorship sang the Ninth at torture prisons, where men inside took hope when they heard their voices. In Japan each December, the Ninth is performed hundreds of times, often with 10,000 people in the chorus. And now, with a concert for the victims of the earthquake and Tsunami. The Berlin Wall, symbol of division and oppression, comes down in December, 1989, as Leonard Bernstein performs Beethoven’s Ninth as an “Ode To Freedom”.
Part road trip, part adventure story, FOLLOWING THE NINTH is an inspira- tional film about Beethoven’s Ninth, the power it has to liberate us, to shield us against suffering, and to provide hope and resilience for us in dark times.

Following The Ninth: In The Footsteps of Beethoven's Final Symphony

When a resentful, self-centered alcoholic is abandoned by his wife and daughter, a chance encounter with an Uber driver provokes him to face himself.

Night Encounter

Two teenagers connect with their ill grandmother when they introduce her to marijuana.

Oldie
